1. Flow range: The fluid flow range should be moderate, and the flowmeter with a large scale flow should be determined according to the
maximum flow rate, and the range of the flowmeter should not be exceeded.
Generally, the flow rate is very low and requires very accurate micro oval gear flowmeter, Coriolis flow meter. electromagnetic flow meters
measure the water content of liquids with high accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Vortex flow meters are best for measuring steam.
Liquid turbines are easily suitable for liquids that do not require high precision!
2. Pipe size: Determine the diameter of the flowmeter according to the flow rate and the size of the industrial pipe. Generally, the flowmeter
that is consistent with the pipeline is selected. For smaller pipe sizes, gear flowmeters, rotor flowmeters, turbine flowmeters and mass
flowmeters are generally used, and electromagnetic flowmeters and ultrasonic flowmeters are generally used for large pipe diameters.
Some pipes are not suitable for electromagnetic and ultrasonic.
3. Signal output: However, signal output is not required. Generally, a rotameter and a mechanical water meter can be used. The output signal
has analog quantity (4-20ma, 0-10 v) and pulse output, these flowmeters can take digital display.
4. Medium: The lining of the flowmeter is selected according to the characteristics of the measured medium. Such as temperature, corrosion,
whether there may be negative pressure in the pipeline, etc. General linings are PTFE, soft rubber, hard rubber, PFA, ceramics and so on.
5. Pressure range: According to the different materials of the wetted part of the flowmeter, the pressure resistance is different. The pressure
resistance range of stainless steel and copper is larger. If the flow rate is relatively low, pressure loss needs to be considered, which is not
suitable for turbine and positive displacement flowmeters.
6. Select the material of the measuring electrode according to the characteristics of the medium. Generally, there are 304, 316, Hastelloy,
titanium, tantalum and so on.
7. Select the pressure level of the flanges connected on both sides according to the pressure level of the process pipeline.
8. Select the protection level, if the sensor is completely underwater, you need to select IP68.
