Installation method of clamp-on ultrasonic water flow meter
The installation method of clamp-on ultrasonic water flow meter can be carried out according to the following steps to ensure
that the installation process is clear and accurate:
1. Preliminary preparation
Check pipeline parameters:
Use the matching tools to measure the circumference of the measured pipeline and calculate the pipe diameter.
Check the parameter conditions given by the manufacturer to ensure that the installed flow meter matches the pipeline parameters.
Select the installation location:
Choose a location with full pipe and steady flow, away from the pump and elbow to reduce interference with flow measurement.
2. Installation steps
Polishing the pipeline:
Use an angle grinder or coarse sandpaper to clean the surface of the pipeline near the installation location, remove rust, paint and
other impurities, and reveal the metallic luster.
Install the probe:
Choose V method or Z method installation according to the pipeline diameter and actual situation.
V method installation: The two sensors are aligned horizontally, and the center line is horizontal with the pipeline axis. It is suitable
for pipe diameters of DN15mm-DN400mm.
Z method installation: It is suitable for situations where the pipeline is thicker or there are suspended matter in the liquid, and the
scale on the inner wall of the pipe is too thick. The measurable pipe diameter range is 100mm to 6000mm.
Apply enough coupling agent on the sensor to ensure that there are no bubbles and impurities between the sensor and the pipe.
Place the sensor close to the pipe wall and fix it with a clamp (such as a stainless steel belt) to ensure uniform force.
Wiring:
According to the wiring diagram provided by the manufacturer, correctly connect the power supply, sensor, 4-20mA current output,
485 communication and other lines.
Pay attention to the correctness and firmness of the wiring to avoid looseness or short circuit.
3. Debugging and inspection
Parameter setting:
Open the host, enter the parameter setting window, and enter the calculated parameters such as pipe diameter and wall thickness into
the host.
Check the installation distance:
Check whether the sensor installation spacing is correct according to the parameters set in the host menu.
Debugging and testing:
Confirm that the liquid in the pipeline is full and check whether the transmission time ratio is within the normal range (such as 100%±3%).
Check the Q value of the upstream and downstream signal strength and signal quality to ensure that the signal strength and Q value meet
the requirements (such as signal strength above 60 and Q value above 75).
4. Precautions
Avoid interference: Keep away from electromagnetic interference sources and heat sources during installation to ensure the accuracy of
measurement.
Regular maintenance: Check regularly whether the coupling agent is dry or falling off, and replenish or replace it in time.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions: During the actual installation process, the installation instructions and precautions provided by
the manufacturer should be strictly followed.
