What are the variable area flow meters?
Variable area flow meters mainly include the following two main types of flow meters:
Float variable area flowmeter: This type of flowmeter is also called a float flowmeter or a rotor flowmeter. Its working principle is to
adjust the up and down position of the float (or float) according to the size of the liquid flow, and determine the flow value through
the position of the float. Float type variable area flowmeters are widely used in laboratories, construction, water treatment and other
fields, especially in the measurement of small and micro flow rates. It has a simple structure and is easy to use, but there may be risks
of low pressure resistance and fragile glass tubes.
Differential pressure variable area flow meter: This type of flow meter measures based on the principle of differential pressure. It has
two pressure-conducting pipes connected at both ends of the same pipe, and the flow value is determined by measuring the pressure
difference at both ends of the pipe. Differential pressure flow meters are particularly suitable for measuring gas flow, and have a wide
range of applications. They can be used to measure various fluids and working conditions, as well as different pipe diameters and flow
conditions.
These two flow meters have their own advantages in flow measurement and can be selected and applied according to actual needs.
