Pump types and characteristics

Date:2023-08-07 source:Shanghai JSN Micro Flow Meter CO.,LTD

Type of pump

In the market, we will see all kinds of pumps, but what is the difference between them? Which type of pump is suitable for your current

working condition?

Today winny will share with you Email: sales01@cxflowmeter.com

Peristaltic pumps ...... the fluid is in contact with the pump tubing only, and the rollers push the fluid through the pump tubing as the motor

drives the pump head to rotate. No pollution, easy to clean.

Diaphragm Pump...a pump in which the fluid flows through a reciprocating diaphragm chamber attached to a drive rod.

Centrifugal Pump  … A rotary vane disc mounted on a drive shaft that imparts pulseless fluid motion during rotation. Inlet can be restricted

without damaging the pump.

Diaphragm pump ... moves fluid by the pulsation of one or two flexible diaphragms, while using a one-way valve to control the direction of

flow.

Drum pumps...the motor on the impeller is mounted on top of the drum. The impeller pushes the fluid up as it sinks.

Flexible Sleeve Pumps ...... The outer surface of the inert liner and the inner surface of the rotating block create a fluid path for gentle,

pulsation-free transfer of fluid.

Flexible Impeller Pumps ...... A flexible impeller confines fluid between the impeller blades and an integral casing, allowing fluid to flow

through the casing.

Gear pumps  … fluid is confined between two or three rotating gear teeth. Gear pumps are ideal for high system pressure applications

and are usually magnetically driven.

Hand Pumps...a wide variety of hand pumps for short term or repetitive fluid transfer applications.

Piston Pump ... rotating pistons of varying stroke lengths drive fluid through a check valve. Ideal for use in high pressure conditions.

Progressive Cavity Pumps...a cavity between the screw-type rotor and stator drives a highly viscous, particle-laden fluid through the pump.

Pressure washer pump ... provides high pressure water. Ideal for cleaning and sanitizing.

Rotary Lobe Pumps...The lobed rotor slowly primes and transfers fluids containing particles, solids and high viscosity fluids. Hygienic

construction, ideal for use in the food and beverage industry.

Rotary vane pumps...operate like flexible vane pumps but with stronger impellers...suitable for applications requiring high pressure or

 low shear forces.

Syringe Pumps...Syringe or withdrawn pumps, capable of high pressure and precision, suitable for applications such as HPLC.

Submersible pumps ... Centrifugal pumps with special housings for emptying buckets or tanks.
