mass flow meter calibration
I. Calibration steps
Preparation
Make sure the flow meter is installed in the correct position and has been cleaned without dirt or sediment.
Check the working environment to ensure that the temperature, pressure and other conditions meet the requirements of the flow meter.
Prepare appropriate calibration tools or equipment, such as calibration liquid, standard flow meter, etc.
Determine the calibration standard or procedure, usually based on the calibration guide or national standard provided by the manufacturer.
Check the flow meter status
Verify that the flow meter is in normal working condition and check for any damaged or repaired parts.
Preparation before calibration
Prepare the corresponding calibration tools or equipment according to the model and specifications of the flow meter.
If the zero point calibration method is used, ensure that the upstream and downstream valves are tightly closed and leak-free.
Perform calibration
Start the flow meter and adjust it to the calibration mode according to the predetermined procedure.
Connect the calibration liquid or standard flow meter to ensure that the connection is leak-free.
Adjust the flow meter step by step according to the calibration guide or procedure, and record the readings at different flow rates.
Record data
During the calibration process, record the flow meter readings and the data of the calibration equipment in detail.
Ensure that the recorded data is accurate, including the response time and stability of the flow meter.
Compare and adjust
Compare the flow meter readings with the data of the standard flow meter.
If there is an error, adjust the flow meter according to the manufacturer's instructions or expertise.
Verify the calibration effect
After the calibration is completed, perform a verification test to ensure the accuracy of the flow meter.
Verification testing may include comparing with the standard flow meter again, or performing other accuracy tests.
Complete calibration
After confirming that the flow meter has achieved the required accuracy, end the calibration process.
Record the calibration results and date and fill them in the calibration certificate or calibration log.
Subsequent processing
Clean up the calibration site to ensure that no waste or dirt is left.
Perform subsequent maintenance or inspection of the flow meter according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
2. Precautions
Choose a suitable calibration method
According to the model, accuracy requirements and working environment of the flow meter, select a suitable calibration method, such as zero calibration, differential pressure calibration, gas consumption calibration, etc.
Ensure the stability of the calibration environment
During the calibration process, ensure that the ambient temperature, pressure and other conditions are stable to avoid external factors interfering with the calibration results.
Strictly follow the calibration procedure
When performing calibration, the calibration procedure must be strictly followed and steps must not be changed or omitted at will.
Pay attention to safety
When calibrating, pay attention to safety to avoid accidents such as leakage and explosion. Especially when handling flammable, explosive, toxic and other media, strictly abide by the safety operating procedures.
