Features note:

1. If a valve is installed in the upstream of the installation point of the flowmeter, switch the valve continuously, which has a great impact on the service life of the flowmeter and is very easy to cause permanent damage to the flowmeter.

2. Avoid installing the flowmeter on the very long pipe on the overhead during the day. After a long time, the droop of the flowmeter is very easy to cause seal leakage between the flowmeter and the flange.

Installation of flowmeter in vertical pipe

When measuring the gas flow rate, the flowmeter can be installed on the vertical pipe with unlimited flow direction.If the measured gas contains a small amount of liquid, the gas direction should be upward.When measuring the liquid flow, the flow direction of the liquid should be from bottom to top, so that the liquid weight is not attached to the probe.

Summary:

For example, some meters (such as differential pressure type and turbine type) need a long upstream straight pipe section to ensure the full development of the front flow at the inlet end of the meter, while others (such as volumetric type and float type) have no such requirements or lower requirements.The installation position, flow direction, maintenance space and installation direction should be taken into consideration in the operation manual of some instruments for detailed description.However, many data show that the measuring performance of flow meter is greatly affected by the installation condition.The reasons of poor application and large error of traceability flow meter are largely caused by improper installation.
