What is a peristaltic pump

A peristaltic pump, also known as a hose pump, constant flow pump or peristaltic pump, is a device that uses rollers to alternately 

squeeze and release the hose to pump fluid. The following is a detailed explanation of the peristaltic pump:

1. Working principle

The working principle of the peristaltic pump is based on the alternate squeezing and releasing of the hose (pump tube) by the roller. 

The roller moves along one side of the hose, compressing and closing the hose, thereby pushing the fluid in it to flow forward. When 

the roller moves to the other side of the hose, the hose returns to its original state, forming a negative pressure, thereby sucking in new 

fluid. This continuous squeezing and releasing process allows the fluid to form a continuous flow in the hose.

2. Structural features

The peristaltic pump is mainly composed of three parts: the pump head, the hose and the driver. The pump head is the mounting

 component of the roller and the pump tube, which is responsible for converting the movement of the roller into squeezing and releasing

 the hose. The hose, as a medium for fluid delivery, is installed in the pump head and is squeezed and released by the roller. The driver is

 a power-providing component that drives the roller to move through a motor or air pressure.

3. Performance characteristics

The fluid is completely isolated: The fluid delivery part (hose) of the peristaltic pump is completely isolated from the driving part of the 

pump, avoiding direct contact between the fluid and the inside of the pump body, thereby ensuring the purity of the fluid.

No pollution: Since the fluid is completely isolated in the hose, the peristaltic pump will not contaminate the fluid or be contaminated 

by the fluid during operation.

High precision: The peristaltic pump can achieve precise control of the flow rate by adjusting the movement speed of the roller or the 

diameter of the hose, with high flow accuracy.

Easy to maintain: The hose of the peristaltic pump can be easily replaced, thereby reducing maintenance costs and time.
